Weddings, celebrations and events in general are made up of traditions making events so momentous. They are either passed down from countless generations, cultural, religious and/or familial customs. While visiting in Greece we noticed the relative similarities in ceremonial traditions amongst the Greeks and our events, a universal connection symbolizing family, love and unity. I have to say, it’s quite moving.

We were fortunate to witness a traditional Greek wedding in Santorini. I know… How great is that! Secretly I was hoping we would. Well, it was unforgettable. The day was filled Greek music, the Zorba dance, authentic Greek cuisine, delicate decorations adding to the beauty of the island and the liveliest people having a ball. So many little customs so relative to our traditions from the breaking of the glass to drinking of the blessed wine. Sometimes we forget that we are all connected somehow, even all the way across the world. From each trip we love taking back something and incorporating into our lives and events. This allows for growth and diversity while maintaining our core values and cultural roots. Nonetheless this was a very humbling experience and we are ever so blessed we were a part of it. Now that we are back we and in full swing of things, we will definitely incorporate some of our inspirations into our events.                 Screen Shot 2014-07-24 at 2.04.28 PM Screen Shot 2014-06-18 at 12.28.57 PM
