GLOW!

Every bride wants to know what to eat and apply to the skin for a radiant GLOW for the BIG DAY…

After speaking to nutritionists, dermatologists, trainers and registered dietitians we’ve come to a conclusion….

First and foremost, HYDRATE! water, water and more water. Keeping the body hydrated will rid of toxins from the body. With proper hydration the skin contain its moisture.

Next.. antioxidants. A diet rich in antioxidants and bright leafy greens will help your skin’s elasticity and help stop the oxidation process and block the effects of free radicals.

Okay on to the next! EXERCISE… yes I said it.  Try yoga, pilates, hiking, biking, anything that makes your body feel energized and stimulated. Physical activity releases anxiety in turn reducing the risk of breakouts.

We’ve targeted the internal, now the skin needs external attention too! Exfoliate your skin, a routine skincare regimen is important.  Make sure to do research on beauty products to make sure they are right for you. Non-comedogenic make-up, no added fragrances and natural products are always a plus. Don’t try new products a couple days before your wedding. These are steps you should take 2-3 months prior to train your body.

These are all tips you can use to feel and look your best for the BIG Day!

A Valentine’s Treat

Screen Shot 2014-08-20 at 3.23.49 PM

Oh yes, it’s that time of year again! Valentine’s Day. Yes, Valentine’s Day. This day can mean so many things. Whether coupled up and planning a special night for two, celebrating with close friends or taking on the holiday solo there are many things one can do. I’ve compiled a list of places to dine, outings and low-key ideas that can help everyone out on this day. Let’s start with dining. Many restaurants offer a pre-fixe menu and reservations are a must. A couple of my favorite romantic restaurants would have to be Gusto, The Little Door and Geoffrey’s. Order a nice bottle of wine, dine on fine cuisine and enjoy your great company. If you want something a little more hands-on, EATZ offers daily cooking classes. Classes are interactive and educational all the while exciting and a great form of bonding for couples or friends. One of my fav’s would have to be wine & chocolate tasting at Saddlerock Ranch; an extremely fun daytime event. Okay… let’s say someone wants to make this day extra special or has possibly a proposal in mind, Temecula offers sunrise hot air balloon rides with the ultimate experience. Breakfast for two, a nice bottle of champagne and a killer view. Lastly, if you haven’t heard of this oh so popular book, “Fifty Shades of Grey”… well it opens Valentine’s Day weekend; a great low-key way to spend the evening. All of these suggestions can be done with a significant other or friends. Below you can find the links to check out these local events. Needless to say, Have Fun!

Nell in Lenell

I often reflect back to each event and find what truly inspired me, setting the stage for each post. For each event I am able to find something that stands out to me and resonates on a deeper level. A couple days ago as I was in deep thought about the busy week behind us and the extra busy week ahead of us I thought, “what is the common inspiration I have for all of these events?” Then it came to me, it’s Nell. That’s what it was, the Nell in Lenell. She’s not just my sister, my best friend or my business partner but the trendsetter, team builder, epicurean and above all perfectionist. Lenell’s growth and successful achievement/execution of every event is due to the harmonious synergy she creates with the Lenell team. Her leadership has harvested the foundation for creating one-of-a kind events. With each event you will be sure to see that she has added her own sparkle and style to make it extra special. The face of Lenell, she is always finding new inspirations for creating these unique events. She is the design architect with the aesthetic ability to bring together a range of unique styles creating a polished and trendy look for each event. Her logistical expertise garners the ability to utilize all resources for flawless transitions throughout each event. Her integral role helps Lenell set the bar in special event production. Without a doubt she is a one-of-a kind innovator and trendsetter that truly stands by Lenell’s core values. After each event we have a reflection meeting with the team to discuss the execution of the event (what went great, where we can improve and any observations that were made). Nell always makes sure that each team member’s thoughts and ideas are accounted for to improve all of our future events. With that said, thanks Nell for being my inspiration. As she always says, “Always remember to…
